4. Use a zigzag stitch to machine appliqué the hexagons to the front side of a wool pouch piece. To hide the stitches, use clear thread for the top and gray thread for the bobbin.
Make the pouch
1. Fold and press under the seam allowance along the top edge of the corner details ¼″. Then, matching up the marks on the template, pin them to the corners of the wool pieces. Topstitch them close to the folded-under edge.
2. Fuse the fleece to the wrong side of both lining pieces, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Attach the zipper to the top edge of the wool exterior and lining piece, sewing the pouch together as described on page 17.
4. Attach the zipper fob to the zipper pull.
